Cristiano Ronaldo sells one of his Ballon d’Ors

Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has auctioned one of his four Ballon d’Ors for a whopping €600,000 at a charity auction.

Ronaldo is giving every penny made from the sale, to the Make-A-Wish charity.

The organisation attempts to grant one wish to children fighting life-threatening conditions.

Ronaldo first won the award with Manchester United in 2008 and then a further three times with Real in 2013, 2014 and 2016.

The 32-year-old specifically asked for the replica of his 2013 award to be auctioned.

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola also took part in the event, spending €30,000 to watch a boxing match in Manchester and had a meet and greet with the two coaches.

Rio Ferdinand is propelling another career as a professional boxer, two years after he retired from football. The 38-year-old's turn into the ring is being upheld by betting company Betfair, which reported the news on Tuesday. The former Manchester United and England defender Ferdinand fills in as a TV pundit and he has his own clothing line. "I'm doing this since it's a challenge," he said. "I've won titles and now I'm going for a belt." He has posted a few videos on social media lately indicating him boxing and working with fitness coach Mel Deane.
