Salah Beats CR7, Messi and Neymar to the UCL Player Of The Week Award

Mohamed Salah’s lively performance against Sevilla in midweek has been rewarded with the Champions League Player of the Week award.
The Liverpool forward collected 55 per cent of the vote on UEFA’s website to claim the prize after a deflected goal against the La Liga side capped an impressive display.
Salah saw off competition from the likes of Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain), Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United), James Rodriguez (Bayern Munich), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Taison (Shakhtar Donetsk) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) to pick up the accolade.

Rio Ferdinand is propelling another career as a professional boxer, two years after he retired from football. The 38-year-old's turn into the ring is being upheld by betting company Betfair, which reported the news on Tuesday.
